Gestures is a series of ceramic wall forms that emerge from depicting gentle movements as structure. The curves are shaped as much by gravity as they are by the hand. Curved edges suggest an embrace, a lean on a shoulder, or a shift in posture. These sculptures consider body language and its expressiveness, exploring how human motion might be held still. Fired clay carries the memory of softness, preserving small moments of gentle geometries.
Rust brown finish with slight hints of metallic reminiscent of leather, slot canyons, and the desert with oak frame. Walnut or maple frame available upon request.
